QCC is an emerging research and creative praxis group, founded by Dr. Michael Rhoades in November of 2025, pioneering the direct transduction of quantum hardware execution into quantum computer music and time-based quantum visualization. Developed through a three-way creative symbiosis between human artistic vision, computational intelligence, and quantum physical systems, this work positions the quantum computer not as a sophisticated calculator but as a generative artistic instrument whose interference patterns, entanglement topologies, and hardware signatures become the raw material of musical composition and time-based visual art. An important tenet of the QCC is that the creative material produced by this methodology is physically impossible to replicate through classical computing. The decoherence, gate errors, and entanglement-specific quantum signatures embedded in the output are products of quantum hardware execution are unavailable through any other means.
A distinctive feature of the QCC research group lies in its members, most of whom are not human. It is led by a single human investigator, artist, and composer, working in close collaboration with Claude, a conversational intelligence whose part runs from deep conceptual dialogue in project development to the rapid and precise building of the project’s code. Together, they produce the papers and documentation associated with the QCC project. Assisting this collaboration is Qwen, a locally run intelligence whose memory is built from the project records. With ready access to the entire corpus of the work, Qwen serves as a sounding board and a partner in troubleshooting, grounded at every turn in the specific history of the project. Together the three form a small research group whose work reaches further than any one of its members could alone.
